Baptized In Blood - Gutterbound Demos

Okay, another really cool one! Here we have a bunch of original recordings that ultimately made up Baptized In Bloods first full length album “Gutterbound”. The cool thing with these tracks is for most of them they include Adam Trakinskas who was the bands other lead vocalist. You can really see the progression through listening to these on how BIB has continued to evolve and grow musically and lyrically as a band. Newly signed to Roadrunner Records, BIB is looking at a great future ahead filled with more touring, drinking and face melting riffs!

First 3 tracks – Recorded @ Emac Studios In London, Ontario by Aaron. These 3 tracks were originally going to be released as an EP.

1 - Team America (now called Only Time Will Tell) – alternate guitar solo outro
2 - RATTails and Rainbows – both vocalists
3 - Up Skirts, Down Shirts – both vocalists
4 - Cats are Jerks (now called Go It Alone) – both vocalists & different lyrics
5 - Down and Out – both vocalists
6 – Makin’ Cents (non album track) – Johl vocals only
7 – Gutterbound (now called Blue Oyster) – both vocalists

BIB at the time of these recordings was:

Johl – Vocals
Adam – Vocals
Josh – Guitar
Derek – Guitar
Shags - Bass

Three Impotent Males - T.I.M. Vol.2

Formed in 1994 in Sarnia, Ontario, TIM played fast So Cal styled punk rock in the vain of old Propagandhi, Nofx and Randy. They released there only full length on Raw Energy Records in the spring of 1996 and recorded these tracks before going there own separate ways in 1998. These dudes were a staple in the Ontario punk scene in the late 90’s playing all over the province with the likes of Trunk, 5 Knuckle Chuckle and Trigger Happy to name a few.

TIM on this recording were:

Wes Ryan – Vocals, guitars
Mike Wistuba – Bass, vocals

Thunder Bay Tunes

Tonight we decided to bring you some local stuff from the Thunder Bay scene. There is alot of good music up there that doesn't reach the mecca that is Southern Ontario. This is just a taste, keep your eyes posted in weeks to come for more older and newer stuff from Thunder Bay and area.

Vaya - Tonight Is Murder EP

Formed in 2001, this quartet played their version of rock music in Thunder Bay, ON.

Unfortunately, they called it quits in 2004, but managed to record a full length CD called "One more story of a bleeding heart" and an EP entitled "Tonight Is Murder", as well as tour with their friends All That Was Left.

Headcramp - No More Smiles EP

Old thrashy skate punk/hardcore from Thunder Bay, these guys were doing it better way before some of your favourite bands. Releasing a bunch of demo tapes and 7" over the years, this EP was the follow up to the Mind Blowing Beef Fest Spectacular LP which was released in 1994. No More Smiles was the last recording done by Headcramp before splitting up, but was some of the best music they released during their time together. Dont expect any reunion shows.

Ottawa music / Lack of posts

We apologize for the lack of updates, i wish we could say we are to busy we are just a little lazy. We will make sure that we keep shorter periods between updates. This week's installment focuses on the Ottawa area, none of us are from that area these just happen to be a couple of rad bands that we have enjoyed over the years.

The Transit - Its Lights Out For Downtown

The Transit allways amazed me i remember randomly going to see them in Thunder Bay. I went to see Alexisonfire, Death From Above at a bigger show and was convinced to go see another band at the Apollo afterwards. Ends up The Transit was the opening band and i feel in love with their gritty yet melodic take on punk rock. I really dont know to much about these guys except that they are from Ottawa and that i got a chance to see them once again when i moved back to London On, at The Embassy.

Van Johnson - Holiday Tour EP

Van Johnson was a Hardcore/Punk/Screamo outfit based as well out of Ottawa On. Van Johnson is in the same vein as bands such as Saetia, Orchid, Hotcross. Never had a chance to see these guys i wish i had bet they would have been a real gem to see in a sweaty basement or legion hall.
